Company details

About the company

Developers spend up to 70% of their time writing code that isn't product - it's plumbing. API clients, serialization layers, wrappers, DTOs - all just to make one system talk to another. Multiply that across a polyglot stack with Python, Java, .NET, and Go running on different servers, and integration becomes the single biggest line item in any engineering budget.

Graftcode eliminates this layer entirely. Their runtime bridge lets applications written in different programming languages call each other's methods directly - as local functions with full type safety - without REST APIs, middleware, or client libraries. A developer installs a strongly typed "Graft" through their standard package manager (npm, pip, NuGet, Maven) with a single command, and the connection is done. Service interactions run up to 70% faster than conventional web services, with a fraction of the CPU and memory overhead.

The platform supports over 20 programming languages, covers 143 language pair combinations, and works across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Its Gateway doubles as an automatic MCP server, making every business method instantly available to AI agents without additional code - a critical capability as agentic AI workflows demand clean, typed interfaces between services.

Graftcode is built on Hypertube, a runtime bridging engine in development since 2013, backed by over 20 million PLN in R&D investment. The predecessor technology, Javonet, was deployed by over 400 enterprise clients including Siemens, IBM, TotalEnergies, and TRUMPF. Founded by Przemysław and Łukasz Ładyński - brothers who spent two decades building enterprise integrations before deciding the entire integration model was broken - the company is headquartered in Warsaw with a team of 18 engineers.

Why we invested

Twenty years of integrations led to killing the integration layer - Why we invested in Graftcode

Seventy percent of what software developers write isn't software.
